Huntsville, AL (October 15, 2024) – Runergy Alabama Inc., a leading solar module manufacturer in the United States, is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with SOLARCYCLE, the nation's premier solar recycling company. This partnership will position Runergy Alabama as a leader in sustainability within the solar industry by securing SOLARCYCLE as both a major supplier of glass for its solar modules and its dedicated recycling partner.
Under the terms of the agreements, SOLARCYCLE will supply ultra-low carbon glass, manufactured in part from recycled solar panels, for use in Runergy’s bifacial, high-efficiency solar modules. SOLARCYCLE will provide at least 4GW or 30 million square meters of high-quality, domestically manufactured glass to Runergy Alabama over a 5-year period. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in advancing the circular economy within the solar industry, reducing waste, and reintroducing valuable materials back into the solar supply chain.
In addition to supplying glass, SOLARCYCLE will provide comprehensive recycling services for Runergy Alabama's solar products. This partnership ensures that at the end of their lifecycle, Runergy Alabama's solar panels can be efficiently recycled, significantly reducing environmental impact and supporting the sustainability goals of both companies.
